I am a mom of a precious, loving, and beautiful daughter who has Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD), Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS) which is part of the Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) and used to work in a local school district. I am currently a student at Concordia University Wisconsin-Mequon where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Rehabilitation Science degree in December 2015 and I am working on earning my Master of Occupational Therapy degree next.
The summer of 2011 my husband and I made the decision for me stay home with our daughter. I wanted to do something to give back to all the people who have helped our daughter along her journey. I decided to start Sensory Lovin' Momma because I know first hand how expensive Sensory and Weighted Products can be. I also know how important these items can be to a child in helping them be successful in their daily lives. My goal is to provide quality products at a reasonable cost to families, schools and daycare providers. I also want to make your product individualized for you. Each item produced is a collaboration between my family and yours. Please contact me with your preferences and we will make it happen. I can also email you pictures of my current fabric selection. Plastic pellets are used for the weight, allowing item to be machine washable.
